About KONA Powder and Particle Journal

KONA Powder and Particle Journal is a peer-reviewed, international, interdisciplinary and Diamond open-access journal that publishes articles on powder and particle science and technology. This journal has been published annually since 1983 and is distributed free of charge to researchers, members of the scientific communities, universities and research libraries throughout the world, by the Hosokawa Powder Technology Foundation established by Mr. Masuo Hosokawa.  “KONA” in the journal’s title has the meaning of “Powder” in Japanese.

KONA Powder and Particle Journal will be discontinued after Issue No.43(2026) scheduled to be published in early 2026 and will not receive submissions after the end of this year 2024. However, all published articles in this journal will remain fully searchable at the J-STAGE website <https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/browse/kona>.
