Hosokawa Foundation is a public service corporation authorized by the Japanese Government. The purpose of the Foundation is to contribute to advancement of powder technology. For that purpose, the Foundation performs various activities such as granting funds for research and academic meetings, presenting the KONA Award and organizing symposiums besides issuing KONA Powder and Particle Journal.

About KONA Powder and Particle Journal

KONA Powder and Particle Journal is a peer-reviewed, international, interdisciplinary and open-access journal that publishes articles on powder and particle science and technology. This journal has been published annually since 1983 and is distributed free of charge to researchers, members of the scientific communities, universities and research libraries throughout the world, by Hosokawa Powder Technology Foundation established by Mr. Masuo Hosokawa.  “KONA” in the journal’s title has the meaning of “Powder” in Japanese.
